RECOSI welcomes new member SEFE
Published on October 5 2026
London, UK – The Responsible Commodities Sourcing Initiative (RECOSI) is pleased to welcome SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE), an international energy company anchored in Europe, as its newest member, strengthening RECOSI’s efforts to drive continuous improvement in responsible commodity sourcing across energy commodities.
RECOSI develops sector-specific ESG frameworks and programmes that help improve environmental performance, strengthen social impact and support members in meeting their due diligence and reporting obligations across energy commodity supply chains. These include RECOSI Gas, designed to bring collaboration and continuous improvement to global gas supply chains. RECOSI Gas offers a practical solution for companies across the supply chain – from production to sale – to manage ESG risks.
Working collaboratively with forward-thinking energy and infrastructure companies, RECOSI brings members together to develop practical solutions to shared industry challenges.
Katie Warrick, Executive Director of RECOSI, welcomed SEFE, saying: We’re delighted to welcome SEFE to RECOSI. The challenges surrounding responsible commodity sourcing are complex, and no single company can address them alone. That’s why our members choose to work together to tackle these issues collectively. SEFE brings significant experience and expertise to the table, which will make a valuable contribution to the work of the RECOSI Gas Programme and help strengthen our collective efforts to address responsible sourcing challenges across the sector. With SEFE joining, RECOSI members now account for close to one-third of European natural gas and LNG imports.”
Kathrin Dufour, Executive Vice President Strategy & Sustainability of SEFE: "Joining RECOSI reflects SEFE’s commitment to building transparent, resilient and responsible energy supply chains. As the energy system becomes increasingly interconnected, collaboration across the industry is essential to strengthen ESG standards, enhance supply chain due diligence, and drive continuous improvement throughout the global gas value chain. We are proud to contribute our expertise and work alongside like-minded partners to advance responsible sourcing practices for the benefit of our customers, stakeholders and society."
