How the Criteria component works
A set of corporate-level ESG requirements, the RECOSI Gas Responsible Sourcing Criteria apply to companies who sell natural gas or LNG.
The Criteria focus on corporate policies and processes that manage ESG risks across the supply chain as well as communicate their expectations.
These are made up of 12 ESG topics.

How the Asset component works
The RECOSI Gas Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) for natural gas and LNG assets engages producers and operators on their ESG practices. Tailored to the gas sector, it helps participating companies assess site-level risks, impacts and opportunities.
The SAQ is aligned with relevant European laws and regulations, including CSRD, CSDDD and the EU Methane Regulation, as well as international standards.
