RECOSI 2024 Annual Report

London, UK - This is RECOSI’s first annual report, which shares the RECOSI journey over the past 12 months.

RECOSI was established last year by a group of major European utilities who recognise that by working together they can have a much greater impact on improving the sustainability performance of their commodities supply chains.

RECOSI is built on its successful work on the Bettercoal initiative which has been operating for over a decade and continues to do so. Alongside this work, a significant focus in 2024 has been working with the RECOSI members to develop the RECOSI Gas Programme.

We look forward to sharing the progress of our work programmes as we continue to grow in 2025 and beyond.

About RECOSI 

The Responsible Commodities Sourcing Initiative (RECOSI) is a global membership organisation that develops solutions to drive continuous improvement in responsible commodities sourcing.  Our members are the most forward-thinking utilities and infrastructure providers.

 RECOSI is the only membership body that actively develops ESG programmes in responsible commodities sourcing. As a leadership organisation we bring together companies to work on responsible energy commodities sourcing practices, developing solutions that can have real world sustainability impacts.

One of our key initiatives is the RECOSI Gas Programme, a new ESG framework, developed by RECOSI members, for responsible gas supply chains from production to sale. The Programme is the first of its kind and was driven by the leadership of our members and shaped by stakeholder expectations and the evolving regulatory requirement.
